UK Shared Prosperity Fund Consultation
Durham Youth Council have asked us to share the following message: The Government has recently announced details of a new UK Shared Prosperity Fund, which aims to support people and communities across the country. Some of this funding could be used to help support more unemployed young people into work. In County Durham, we have a number of young people who struggle to get a job when they leave school or college, which can have a harmful impact on their longer-term futures. However, there are other young people who progress into good employment opportunities.
As Durham County Council will soon receive a share of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, DYC have teamed up to find out the views of children and young people to help us to shape their plans for how some of this funding could be used to help more young people progress into good employment opportunities. We would, therefore, be grateful if you could share this consultation on your social medias and with your children and young people to complete. https://forms.gle/T2p8LbMqTNwULP7P6
